The upcoming cafe racer from Triumph India is one of the most anticipated motorcycles in the country presently. The company is now gearing up to launch this new motorcycle, the Street Scrambler, on the 24th of August. This has been reported by a plethora of reliable sources.
The new Triumph Street Scrambler will ride on 41 mm telescopic fork in the front and twin shocks at the rear. These suspension parts are sourced from KYB. The suspensions on both the wheels are longer in order to keep the ground clearance on the higher side since it is an off road centric motorcycle. The braking duties are done by 310 mm front disc and 255 mm rear disc with Nissin two-piston callipers and switchable ABS. There are off road tyres wrapped around the 19-inch front wheel and 17-inch rear wheel, both of which are spoked.
It will also be getting dual exhaust silencers covered in stainless steel material. It will be featuring switchable traction control, engine immobilizer and ride-by-wire structure.
The Triumph Street Scrambler is powered by a 900 cc parallel twin, liquid cooled engine, which is sourced from the Street Twin. It is capable of producing a maximum power of 55 bhp at 6,000 revolutions per minute. However, since it is an off-road centric motorcycle, the highest torque of 80 Nm comes in just 2,850 revolutions per minute, which is good for its purpose. The transmission duties will be taken care of by a 5-speed gearbox that will also feature assist clutch.
However, despite there being information from reliable sources, there has been no official word on which motorcycle it will be. The Triumph Street Scrambler is expected to be priced are Rs. 8 lakhs exclusive showroom price across the country.
